When the kidney gets damaged and cannot perform its actual function, kidney diseases arise.

Chronic kidney diseases - A longstanding disease of the kidneys leading to renal failure.

Kidney stones - when minerals and other substances in the blood crystallize in the kidneys, forming solid masses (stones). Glomerulonephritis is an inflammation of the glomeruli which are extremely small structures inside the kidneys that filter the blood. Urinary tract infections can lead to kidney failure. Ayurveda suggests these conditions are due to Vata dosha vitiation and so the best line of treatment is Basti karma.
